Reliance Jio Fiber goes live in Mumbai – Download speed up to 150Mbps [Preview Offer]

After the launch of much touted 4G LTE mobile telecom services back in Septemeber 2016, Reliance Jio has now started the preview offer on its Jio Giga Fibre broadband service. The fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) ‘Jio Fiber‘ service is currently live in Navi Mumbai. Under the service company promises to offer download speed up to 150Mbps and upload speed up to 50Mbps.

Customers who are applying for the Jio Fiber broadband service will get three months of unlimited data usage under the free preview offer. Don’t get too excited as there is a fair usage policy (FUP) during the preview offer. Under the Jio Fiber preview offer, every month you will get to download 100GB of data at high speed. After you hit that limit the speed is reduced to 1mbps for rest of the month.

You will also need to shell out around Rs 4500 as installation charges for the Jio Fiber connection. The amount is refundable in case you doesn’t wish to extend the service beyond the three months preview offer. Within 24 hours JioCare team will contact you to further proceed with the installation.

The Jio Fiber comes with a Wi-Fi router that can offer ultra-high speed internet connectivity on up to 44 devices at a time. This allows you to connect anything from smartphone, tablet, computers, laptops, and Television. With the high-speed connection, you can even experience bufferless streaming of 4K videos.

What after the free preview offer? Until now there is no word on how much you will have to pay for the Jio Fiber service after the three months free trial period ends. But according to our sources, the Jio Fiber broadband plans could start at Rs 500 per month. The plans will be available under various categories, like speed-based Jio Fiber plans, volume-based Jio Fiber plans, and other special Jio Fiber plans.
