The Indian telecom sector is reacting quickly to the disruptive offers from Reliance Jio. After Airtel launched its Rs 399 bundled data plan to counter Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, it’s time for Idea Cellular to come up with fresh plans.

India’s third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular is planning to roll out two new combo voice pack priced at Rs 297 and Rs 447. Both packs come with unlimited calls across India and high-speed 4G data benefits with a validity of 70 days.

The Rs 447 pack offers unlimited voice calls to any network and anywhere in India. In addition, you will get 1GB of 4G data usage per day for 70 days. Whereas the smaller Rs 297 pack comes with unlimited Idea to Idea local and STD calls. You will also get bundled 1GB of 4G data benefits per day for 70 days.

Unlike Reliance Jio’s unrestricted unlimited calls, Idea is adding fair usage policy (FUP) limit on voice calls. Under the Rs 297 pack, you have a daily voice calling limit of 300 minutes and 1200 minutes limit per week. Whereas for the Rs 447 plan your unlimited voice calls is limited to 3000 minutes for 70 days. If your calls go beyond this limit, you will be charged at 30 paise per minute.
