The new change will be available to YouTube mobile app in the coming week. With the new change, YouTube player will seamlessly adapt itself to fill the screen. No matter the videos were shot on a mobile phone or DSLR, square size or different aspect ratio like 4:3 or 16:9 or vertical, or horizontal. VR180, the VR for everyone

YouTube and Google’s Daydream team has come up with a brand new video format called VR180. This new format offers 3-D video while capturing 180-degrees around you. VR180 videos offer exceptional VR experience when viewed with Google Cardboard, Daydream, and PSVR. These videos appear stereoscopically in 3-D, where near things look near, and far things appear far.

The Daydream team has partnered with several manufacturers including YI, Lenovo and LG to build cameras especially for shooting VR180 videos. Using this camera, you can easily set up and film videos the way you normally would with any other camera. Videos and livestreams shot on this cameras can be easily uploaded to YouTube. If you are looking for a way to edit this videos, then tools like Adobe Premiere Pro will soon support the new video format.
