Its seems your response on TRAI 100 sms per day restriction has been heard, as major relief the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has revised its decision and raised the maximum SMS sending limit from the earlier 100 to 200 sms per day, beginning from today.

According to TRAI’s immediate press release “TRAI has received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The Authority has considered these representations and decided to increase the limit of one hundred SMS per day per SIM to two hundred SMS per day per SIM.”

The move to stop telemarketing sms by restricting 100sms/day per SIM from TRAI almost seems to be failing as this restriction seems to be never effecting the telemarketing guys. Users were flooded with unwanted sms like never before. Also this TRAI restriction met with a lot of criticism from the youth as, many of us send SMS instead of actually making calls.

Do comment what you feel about this reversed SMS restriction by TRAI ?
