Till now we where thinking the innovative Google ChromeOS was limited to budget laptops and Chromebox, but that’s going to change with the newly announced Chromebase from LG Electronics. An all-in-one desktop PC powered by the Google Chrome operating system up against our common Windows-based desktop PCs and  Apple’s iMac.

The new LG Chromebase – Model 22CV241 will be officially showcased at 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), happening at first week of January 2014 and then will be made available to the public.

LG puts Google ChromeOS on the Desktop with all-in-one Chromebase

LG Chromebase features a 21.5-inch widescreen Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 that delivers accurate color reproduction, stunning contrast and an impressive 178-degree viewing angle. It’s powered by the fourth-generation Intel Celeron CPU along with 2GB RAM and carries 16GB of iSSD internal storage. It also incorporates a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a microphone for easy video calling. In addition it has a built-in 5W speakers delivering clear and powerful sound. It supports various ports including HDMI-in, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and LAN ports.
