India’s pure CDMA service provider MTS India has made an exclusive partnership with India’s top handset vendor Micromax to launch Canvas Blaze, a one of its kind EVDO + GSM dual SIM Android smartphone. It features an 5 inch display, 1GHz dual core CPU, 8 megapixel camera and a first of it kind integrated EVDO and GSM modem.
The main attraction the smartphones is the dual-SIM support where one SIM card slot supports GSM network while the other is powered by high-speed data services on MTS 3G EVDO network.
Micromax Canvas Blaze features a 5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. It’s powered by 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 768MB RAM and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 mobile os. On the rear it got a 8 megapixel camera and on the front with a 0.3 megapixel camera. The smartphone comes with a internal storage of 4 GB that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. On the connectivity front it support MTS 3G EVDO network along with HSPA, WiFi and Bluetooth v2.0.
