Opera Software join hands with India’s premier NGO ‘Smile Foundation‘ to start “Smile with Opera Mini” initiative, which will help underprivileged children in India to receive basic school education.
Opera Software will donate around Rs 50 Lakhs for the cause and aims to help 1000 underprivileged children in the country to receive a basic school education for the entire year. During the next three months, Opera will donate an amount of Rs 5 for every download of the Opera Mini mobile browser from the microsite.
How to get started? First download Opera Mini and start your first contribution of Rs 5. If you are already using Opera Mini, join the campaign by accepting legal terms, entering your email address and click “Join”. Once signed up you will receive an email containing a link to your profile on the campaign page.
Then you can invite your friends by sharing the download link through Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or by email and support the “Smile with Opera Mini” initiative. You can also track your contribution from the profile pages. The contribution per user increases when your friends download Opera Mini from the link you shared.
