Celebrating Holi in its spirit, the government-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has come up with special holi offers for pan-India mobile subscribers. The operator will be offering extra data benefits on existing 3G data STVs along with extra talk time on top ups.
First, to the Holi data offers, BSNL has increased the data benefits on four of its popular 3G data STVs. The Rs 198 3G data STV now comes with 7GB of 3G data benefits and with a validity of 28 days. Earlier the same plan offered only 3GB of data benefits for the same period. The Rs 292 3G data STV now comes with 14GB of 3G data benefits. If you are looking for more data, the Rs 549 3G data STV now offers 30GB of 3G data benefits, that too with 30 days validity.

The above Holi special 3G data STVs are valid from 10th March 2017 to 17th March 2017 for pan-India BSNL prepaid mobile subscribers. You can recharge for the above data STVs online or through any mobile retail outlets in your area. You can activate the data STVs by sending SMS ‘STV DATA<plan name>‘ to 123.
In addition to the extra data benefits, BSNL is also offering extra talk time on top up recharges. If you top up your BSNL connection with Rs 190 you will now get a talk value of Rs 220. Also if you top up for Rs 490, you will get Rs 600 worth talk value. The validity of this talk time will be as per your mobile plan’s validity.
Blackout day on Holi
But there is a bad news too. On the day of Holi that’s on 13th March 2017 it would be a black-out day for BSNL. Which means any voice STV or SMS STV concessional tariff is not applicable on that day. Normal rates for voice and SMS will be directly deducted from your main account balance. The one relief point is that data STVs will work during the blackout day.
Recently BSNL added more than ten-time extra data benefits to its existing unlimited postpaid plans. The operator also has launched a new unlimited Postpaid mobile plan, named ‘Dil khol ke bol‘ – Plan 799.
