Western Digital introduces world’s largest capacity Caviar® Green 3TB SATA harddrives . Earlier they shipped 1TB and 2TB SATA of the same family . This series uses advanced format technology (AF) . Each platter has 750GB areal density . This series is based on WD GreenPower technology, with reduced power consumption, lower operating temperature and noise suppression . Both 2.5TB and 3TB is supported by 64-bit operating systems only. These two models will be available in India by the end of 2010 .
