Airtel Secure Plan is a three-fold protective service available for both prepaid and postpaid customers. The operator is essentially bundling a couple of third-party services for its customers.
Accidental Damage protection
First, on the three-fold protective service include mobile repairs in case of accidental or liquid damage. Airtel has partnered with OneAssist Consumer Solutions Pvt Ltd to offer this service. Once you raise a claim for repair, OneAssist will arrange a pick up of the device from your doorstep, get it repaired from an authorised service centre and deliver it back to you.
What about the repair charges? The Airtel Secure Plan covers most of the repair cost. You only need to pay a very minimal excess charge, that’s around 5 percent of repair charge. Note that you can only raise a maximum of two claims during your membership with Airtel Secure. Also, you need to raise the claim within 48 hours of discovering the damage to Airtel.

Anti-Virus, Malware, Theft and Web Protection
Next, on the Airtel Secure Plan includes the anti-virus for your smartphone. It also offers other services including anti-malware, web protection, app lock, app advisor, anti-theft, call blocking and secure contact backup. For this service, Airtel has partnered with Norton. So, you need to install Norton Mobile Security application to avail the benefits.

Cloud backup
Under the Airtel Secure Plan, you also get cloud backup with up to 2GB of secure storage. You can backup all your important files including photos, videos, and documents to Airtel’s secured cloud servers.
Airtel Secure Plan subscription is available in two forms, one for Rs 49 per month and other for Rs 79 per month. The value of subscription will be pre-determined by Airtel based on the device you use. To subscribe to the plan you need to log in to MyAirtel app and click on the ‘Airtel Secure Offer’ banner. For prepaid subscribers, the monthly charges are deducted from their main account balance. If the main account balance is not sufficient, then Airtel will prompt the user to recharge before subscribing to the plan. Whereas for postpaid subscribers, the charges will be included in their monthly bill.
