Snapdeal gets complete Brand Overhaul – changes Logo, Colour scheme

It seems Snapdeal is getting ready for the mega Diwali sales with a complete brand overhaul. It would be great to see how the company new brand perception will compete against the market leaders Flipkart and Amazon India.

Instead of the old red and blue Snapdeal text logo we now got an entirely new logo. The colour scheme has been changed now to a single color. Somewhat a magnificent shade of red that the company call ‘Vermello‘. Which seeks to enable a bold and modern symbol of India’s audacious aspiration.

So, what’s the new brand mark stands for? according to Snapdeal “ The new brand mark, while implicitly simple, has a powerful, uplifting message embedded in it. The box captures the moment that we reach your doorstep – a moment that we know holds immense anticipation, excitement, and delight for you. Look closer, the two arrows of the box represent our role as your partner and enabler on the journey ahead.

Snapdeal will be pushing the whole brand overhauls and ads campaign this Diwali. The company seems to be allocated around Rs 200 crore for the campaign which will run for 60 days in conjunction with the Diwali festival. The whole project being spearheaded by co-founder Rohit Bansal who is said to be working closely with advertising agency McCann Erickson.

A few months back, Snapdeal becomes India’s fastest online shopping destination beating out Flipkart and Amazon India. Recently the company started its own premium service – Snapdeal Gold that offers customers zero shipping charges on all their orders, free next day delivery, extended 14 days return policy and 100% quality assurance from products, packing, shipping to delivery.
