Refreshing its mid-range android smartphones, Samsung has launched the Galaxy On7 Prime in India. What makes it so unique is the new ‘Make for India’ app named Samsung Mall. The AI-powered app revolutionises the way you do online shopping. To accompany it the mobile also comes with Samsung Pay mini, allowing you to make instant digital payment.

Before getting into the specification, Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will retail at a price tag of Rs 12,990. That’s for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant, whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant will cost Rs 14,990. The mobile will be available exclusively via Amazon India starting 21st January 2018. Making it much more affordable, Amazon will be offering up to 20 percent cash back on the phone along with no-cost EMI option.

Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime Specifications and Features

Taking cues from its premium smartphones design, the Galaxy On7 Prime boasts a full metal unibody design which is also ultra-thin at 8mm. For colour choices, the mobile is available in black and gold shades. The device flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD TFT display covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass over-the-top.

Under the hood, the Galaxy On7 Prime is powered by a 1.6 GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. For storing your media content, the phone comes with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage options. You can further expand the storage up to 256GB using microSD card. The phone runs on Android Nougat OS with the company’s own minimalistic skin over the top.

Coming to photography, the Galaxy On7 Prime features a 13-megapixel camera with a f/1.9 aperture on both front and rear side. The rear camera also accompanied by a bright LED flash support.

Samsung Mall

The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes pre-loaded with a unique ‘Make for India’ innovation called Samsung Mall. It’s an Artificial Intelligence powered visual shopping app that allows you to shoot and search for your favourite products across multiple Indian online shopping sites. With “Universal Cart” you can add products from across different stores to a single cart and checkout at ease. For the all-in-one shopping, Samsung has tied up with Amazon India, Jabong, Shopclues and Tata CLiQ.

In addition, the Galaxy On7 Prime comes with Samsung Pay mini (not the full-fledged Samsung Pay). It allows you to make instant payment online and offline via UPI and mobile wallets.

Connectivity

Coming to connectivity, the Galaxy On7 Prime has dual SIM capability with 4G LTE network support. You will also get 4G VoLTE for making HD voice calls. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 4.1. For extra security, the devices carry a fingerprint scanner embedded in the front home button. Finally, fuelling the mobile is a 3,300mAh battery that can last for up to 21 hours of 3G talk time, 15hours of 4G internet usage or 14 hours of video playback.
