First to start with Samsung India on 17th September, 2013 at an event in Delhi launched their latest addition to the Note family – the GALAXY Note 3. Coming with lots of enhancement and improvements over the predecessor, GALAXY Note 3 features a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 13 megapixel camera that can even shoot 4K videos, 1.9 GHz Octa Core Processor, 3GB RAM, enhanced S-Pen, and a long-lasting 3,200mAh battery. Along with GALAXY Note 3, Samsung has announced the wearable smartwatch the Galaxy Gear in India. . A stylish premium watch with smart features like 1.63 inch Super AMOLED display, 800 MHz processor, a 1.9 Megapixel camera and a dozen of Apps. Taking the mobile photography to the next level Sony India on September 18, 2013 at an event in Delhi launched its Xperia Z1 that carries a 20.7MP camera along with Cyber-shot DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 lens-style cameras and the upgraded SmartWatch 2.
Sony Xperia Z1 features best of Sony’s camera expertise with 20.7MP camera equipping Exmor RS CMOS image sensor with G Lens, 5 inch gorgeous full HD TRILUMINOS display, 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 4G LTE connectivity and Durably packaged (waterproof and dust-proof). Sony has also launched its QX series of ‘lens-style‘ smartphone attachable cameras – the Cyber-shot DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 in India. Both variants DSC QX10 and DSC QX100 have been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 12,990 and Rs 24,990 respectively and will be available on all leading online and offline Indian retailers. Sony’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Gear is the SmartWatch 2, priced at Rs 14,990 and will be available from October 2013. Sony SmartWatch 2 features a 1.6-inch Transflective LCD display which carries Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC connectivity options. It works with devices running on Android 4.0 and later and got IP57 standard offering water and dust resistance. In addition to the active mobile sync notifications, users can also download and use apps directly from Google Play store.
