It’s didn’t last long, the Indian telecom watchdog Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has asked Reliance Jio to withdraw the three months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise offer. In addition, the regulator has also asked the operator to withdraw the 15-day extension given to join Jio Prime membership.

As per the direction, Jio will withdraw the 3 months benefits of Jio Summer Surprise over the next few days. You still can subscribe to any Jio Prime plans and continue using the services.

However, Jio subscribers who have already subscribed or recharged for the Jio Summer Surprise offer by recharging for Rs 303 or high plan (along with the Jio prime membership) will remain eligible for the offer. You will still get the 3 months complimentary service valid until 15th July 2017.

Jio withdraws 3-month complimentary offer

  • Customers who have already recharged for Jio Summer Surprise offer will remain eligible for the offer.

Those who are new to Jio, the telecom operator extended its Jio Prime membership enrolment date till 15th April 2017. Along with this, the operator introduced Jio Summer Surprise. Under this when you join for Jio Prime and recharge for minimum Rs 303 prime plan you get 3 months of free complementary service. That’s essentially extending the Jio Prime plan you have recharged to 3 more months.

As per a statement from Reliance Jio, the operator will comply with the regulator’s advice as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days. So, Jio will still honour all recharge done for Jio Summer Surprise for the next few days. If you have not done the recharge, we suggest to go ahead and recharge for Jio Summer Surprise.
