Nexus 6P – all metal body, 5.7 inch AMOLED, Snapdragon 810 & Marshmallow

The BIGGER brother among the Nexus smartphones, Google bagged Huawei to build the Nexus 6P android smartphone. Packing some of the best hardware found in high-end smartphones ranging from the Snapdragon 810 processor, all-metal body design, WQHD AMOLED display, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanning and everything backed by the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Nexus 6P comes in a sleek design with an all-metal body, which is first in a Nexus smartphone line-up that offers a super premium look and feel. With a similar dimension of current Nexus 6 (159.4 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm), Nexus 6P is slightly narrower and a bit thinner. The smartphones flaunt a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display, (mostly found on high-end Samsung devices) which offers more vibrant colors and deep blacks. The display is now protected with the latest Gorilla Glass 4, making it tougher to scratch.

Under the hood, Nexus 6P got a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM which is in-line with other high-end Android smartphones in the market. Interestingly OnePlus 2 uses the same version of Snapdragon 810 processor, which is said to resolve the infamous heating issue. On the photography side, Nexus 6P goes along the nexus 6 camera with a 12.3 megapixels rear camera carrying a  aperture of f/2.0 and uses 1.55 uM sensor that designed to capture more light than a conventional sensor. Additionally on the front there is an 8-megapixel camera with 1.4 uM design that would really make selfie captures happy. For music lovers, the new nexus comes with dual front-facing speakers just like the Moto’s.

Coming to the storage side Nexus 6P got 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options (luckily no 16GB this time) and as always with Nexus line-up there won’t be a microSD card slot for increasing the storage. On the connectivity side, the Nexus 6P support the high-speed 4G LTE (with full support on Indian LTE bands) along with 3G and 2G networks and comes with WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC options. In addition, Google has adopted the new standard with USB Type-C charging and data port. For extra security, they have also added the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.

All in all Google Nexus 6P will run in the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with major enhancement like Google Now on Tap, extra setting on App installs allowing you to choose what data to share with each app, highly improved battery life and much more.
