Will it be the 2016 flagship killer? Let’s find out. After months of ‘Hype’ and regular leaks, OnePlus has finally took wraps off its second generation android smartphone – OnePlus 2. Packing some of the top hardware in the mobile industry like Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, Fingerprint sensor, dual SIM option, 64GB storage, 4G LTE connectivity, 5.5-inch full HD display and more at a surprisingly not too high-end price tag, starting at Rs 22,999.

Let’s split down the specification of OnePlus 2, the smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD LCD In-Cell display that said to be of a higher quality than the previous years OnePlus One. It offers crystal clear viewing angles up to 178 degrees on direct sunlight. The smartphones got a solid build quality with metal chamfered edges, smooth curves and signature Sandstone Black cover on the back. Unlike previous build, it also got swappable wooden back covers like Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood and Kevlar.

OnePlus Two is powered by 1.8GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 oct-core processor coupled with industry first 4GB LDDR4 RAM (3G RAM on 16GB variant) along with Adreno 430graphic processing unit. With this high-end spec, there is nothing to make it lag. On the photography side, the smartphone got a 13-megapixel camera that boasts 6 physical lenses, powerful dual LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. Which seems to be not enough, the camera comes with an advanced Optical Image Stabilization system along with rear mounted laser technology. For selfie enthusiasts, there is a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera.

On the storage side, the OnePlus 2 comes in two variants a 64GB version and a 16GB internal storage version. On the connectivity side, the smartphone got a dual nano SIM capability with support for 4G LTE (India 4G network fully supported), 3G and 2G networks along with WiFi dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1 and reversible Type-C port. On the software side, the smartphone runs on OxygenOS based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. As an advance feature, the OnePlus 2 now got a Fingerprint scanner sitting at the bottom of the screen as a capacitive button that adds an extra layer of security.

There will be two version of OnePlus 2, a 64GB storage variant with 4GB RAM priced at Rs 24,999 and a 16GB storage variant with 3GB RAM priced at Rs 22,999. Happy with the pricing, the flagship killer will go on sale from August 11th, 2015, exclusively on Amazon India.
