One of the most exciting phones to launch this year in Indian is from the Huawei’s e-brand Honor. The mobile vendor has now officially announced the launch of its flagship Honor View 10 smartphone in India.
The Honor View 10 replaces the ageing Honor 8 Pro and brings in an array of exciting features. The mid-range smartphone got everything you desire on a premium phone when it comes to design, the performance that pars with top brands flagship devices and even got advanced AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities.
Going first through the pricing, the Honor View 10 will come with a price tag of Rs 29,999 competition directly with OnePlus 5T. The mobile will go on sale starting 8th January 2018 and will be available exclusively via Amazon India. Amazon has already started taking pre-registration for the smartphone.
The AI Board
One major highlighted feature of Honor View 10 is it’s Huawei Kiri 970 chipset which also includes a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This enables deep learning based on user behaviour and the mobile reacts to what the user desires. The company is working with Microsoft to bring cutting-edge AI technology to the smartphone.
AI is the central part of Honor View 10 and it’s built right into the EMUI 8.0, the Android 8.0 Oreo-based OS. With the AI technology, EMUI can understand your usage of apps and allocates resources by anticipating your behaviour. It also helps in better Facial Unlock, AI accelerated language translator and offer smart tips like the one from Google feed.
AI also plays an important role in capturing those stunning photos with Honor View 10. The mobiles intelligent photography algorithms can identify thirteen different types of scenes and objects. It can then automatically adjusts the camera settings to the best situation. The mobile also packs AI motion detection and smart camera configuration. For selfie lovers, the AI-powered front camera can capture portraits with sharp edges and much better background blurring.
Adding much delight for the mobile gamers, Honor View 10 packs Game Suite. It offers intelligent optimization, that ensures smooth, seamless, speedy gaming experience. With uninterrupted Gaming function, it can automatically filter unnecessary calls or messages when you are playing.
Design and Performance
Coming to design, the Honor View 10 got a premium metal unibody build with rounded edges. In the front, the mobile is fully covered in the 5.99-inch FullView FHD+ (1080p x 2160p) display leaving a small portion at the bottom and top. Interestingly, the company was able to incorporate a fingerprint scanner in the front, below the screen.
As we said earlier, the Honor View 10 is powered by its own octa-core (4×2.36Ghz + 4×1.8Ghz) Huawei Kirin 970 processor paired with 6 GB of RAM. For storing all your media content the mobile comes with 128 GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 256 GB using a micro card.
Dual Camera with AI
Coming to photography, the Honor View 10 features a dual camera at the back. You get a pair of a 16-megapixel RGB colour camera and a 20-megapixel monochrome camera. It also features f/1.8 aperture, LED flash support and AI capabilities.
For selfie addicts, the Honor View 10 is equipped with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It features f/2.0 aperture and AI-powered portrait mode and beautification mode. You also use the front camera for quick device unlocking with Face Unlock.
Dual 4G VoLTE Connectivity
Coming to connectivity, the Honor View 10 offers dual SIM option with 4G LTE network support that works on most of the 4G bands in India. Along with it, you also get VoLTE support for making HD voice calls. Actually, the phone comes with dual-LTE/VoLTE and dual-4G support. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, infrared sensor and NFC.
Fuelling the device is a 3,750mAh battery that can easily last for 23 hours of 3G talk time, 21 hours of 4G browsing, 19 hours of video playback or 5.5 hours of gaming. With the Smart Power Management, the mobile learns from your mobile usage and keep the battery optimised. It also comes with Huawei’s fast charging feature.
