Display

Coming back to display, which gives an immersive viewing experience with its seamless and almost bezel-less design. Even the form factor is almost similar to that of OnePlus 5, with an 80.5% screen to body ratio. OnePlus achieved this by relocating their famously speedy ceramic fingerprint sensor, which unlocks in just 0.2 seconds to the rear of the device. The built-in software algorithm helps to adapt to varying ambient lightings, making it a better Sunlight Display. The screen contrast also varies according to the app usage, viz gallery, camera and gaming. Finally, it has got the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to shield it from all those unexpected falls and scratches.

Camera

In the camera department, OnePlus 5T also features a dual rear setup but with one major difference. They have switched the telephoto lens with a secondary camera having a larger f/1.7 aperture for enhanced low light photography. The rear camera thus features, a 16MP main camera with Sony IMX sensor having f/1.7 and a 20MP secondary camera with Sony IMX sensor having f1.7. The rear camera is also equipped with Dual LED flash and EIS for videography. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps and slow-mo 720p videos at 120fps.

The front/selfie camera is equipped with a 16MP Sony IMX sensor having f2.0 and screen flash to provide more light. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps and supports time lapse. Talking about the camera software, we still have the Pro Mode with which you can tweak the photos. The Camera UI is redesigned to allow one-handed access to all settings. You can also set autofocus and quick capture by a double tap of the power button. Lastly, the well known Bokeh effect is possible with the new rear dual camera setup giving razor-sharp images, reduced noise and improved low light performance.

Well, not the same tech-filled Apple iPhone X face unlock, the OnePlus 5T comes with facial recognition for quick unlocking process. According to the company, it’s almost 99 percent accurate and can unlock your phone in just 0.4 seconds.

Network, Connectivity & Battery

The OnePlus 5T supports 4G VoLTE, WCDMA and GSM network with dual nano SIM capability but having a dual standby mode. For local connectivity, it has WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type C and has GPS for positioning.
