DD Free Dish to add 15 TV Channels, mostly News and Devotional Channels

DD Free Dish, India’s only free and open access Direct-To-Home (DTH) service provider part of Prasar Bharati, India’s public service broadcaster has concluded the 46th e-Auction and announced the addition 15 new TV channels to the platform. These new TV channels are mostly Hindi language channels and come under the News and Devotional category.

The new set of channels were selected after robust bidding during the 46th e-Auction for MPEG – 4 slots held between 17th to 20th June 2020. These 15 channels would be available on DD Free Dish starting 1st July 2020 to 31st March 2021.

So which are the new TV Channels? As we said earlier, most of the channels are in the News and Devotional category. There are ten Hindi news channels, which include India News, India News Haryana, India News MP/Chhattisgarh, India News Rajasthan, India News UP/UK, Live Today, News State UP/UK, Samay, Sudarshan News and VIP News.

You also get to watch four Hindi devotional channels including Aastha, Sanskar, Satsang and Vedic. There is also one Punjabi new channels in the list Chardikala Time TV.

Earlier, through the 45th e-auction, five prominent general entertainment channels (GEC) made a come back to DD Free Dish platform. These include Star Utsav, Colors Rishtey, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol and Zee Anmol Cinema. All these channels already started airing on the platform from 10th June 2020.
