After a long gap of silence, Micromax backed Indian mobile vendor YU has launched YU Yureka Black android smartphone. The mid-range mobile features Snapdragon 430 SoC, 4GB of RAM, FHD display, 13-megapixel camera and 4G with VoLTE support.

First, to the pricing, the YU Yureka Black get’s a price tag of Rs 8,999. The mobile will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting 6th June 2017 at 12 AM. As the name suggest the mobile will come in black colours, but you get to choose from chrome black and matte black finish.

Design and Performance

Sporting an all-black design the YU Yureka Black features a premium metal unibody. On the front, you get a 5-inch full HD display covered with 2.5D glass and protected with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. That’s a two-year-old Gorilla Glass protection comparing nowadays we have the Gorilla Glass 5 in most of the new smartphone.

Under the hood, the YU Yureka Black is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. To store all your media content the mobile packs 32GB of onboard storage. You can further expand the storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

Camera and Connectivity

Coming to photography, the YU Yureka Black boasts a 13-megapixel camera at back. It features the popular Sony IMX 258 sensor along with 5 element lens, PDAF and LED flash support. On front for selfie addicts, the mobile offers an 8-megapixel camera with flash support. This allows you to take stunning selfies even at night.

As for connectivity, YU Yureka Black has chosen to use hybrid SIM slot. These allow you to have either dual SIM support or one SIM with microSD card support. The mobile support 4G LTE that works with every Indian telco 4G bands. In addition, the mobile support VoLTE for making HD voice and video calls. You also get 3G and 2G network option along with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth. The mobile runs on the age old Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with minimal skin over the top.

For extra security, the YU Yureka Black comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front home button. Company claims, you can unlock the phone with the sensor in 0.2 seconds.
