Youtube hit a new milestone – it has now more than one billion unique users every single month. That’s HUGE, nearly one out of every two people on the Internet visiting YouTube and if YouTube were a country, it would be the third largest in the world after China and India.

Did you know the current generation, or ‘Generation C’, connects on YouTube on all Screens, all the time. According to a report from Google Adwords Agency, the current generation is defined by the Internet, mobile, and social – consuming content when and where they want. Nielsen calls this group Generation C (Gen C) because they are not just defined by their age group, but by their connected behavior.

Gen C watches YouTube on all screens, constantly switching between devices from PC, tablet and Smartphones. Their YouTube usage on smartphones mirrors the usage on PCs and peaks during prime time hours. Youtube is seeing a 76% year-on-year increase in smartphone traffic with the current generation versus only a 33% increase on desktop.
