The Mi TV 4A is a smart TV running Xiaomi’s well known android based PatchWall operating system. It is powered by Amlogic 962-SX TV SoC which has a 64-bit quad-core processor and 1GB+8GB RAM-ROM combo. Even though 4A has an HD LED screen, it is powered by a 6th generation image quality engine backed up by Mali 450 GPU.

PATCHWALL OS & AI

Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32 comes with Patchwall, which is a user interface built on an android operating system with deep learning AI skills. The Patchwall collects large amount of metadata to understands a users viewing preference and gives a highly tailored content. In other words, it can give highly personalized content based on the viewing history for each member of your family. You can also search through the contents including ‘On Air’ with the help of Universal Search feature.

The Patchwall OS is also modified to seamlessly integrate with set-top boxes from Indian DTH providers right on the homepage or wall. For this, they worked with Sensara Technologies and also created the Mi IR Cable which allows you to control DTH set-top box using your TV remote. All you need to do is connect the STB, point IR Cable towards the STB and PatchWall does the rest. The Patchwall user interface also supports Indian dialects with 13 system languages and 15 content languages at present.

Xiaomi has partnered with digital content providers in India to entertain users with 500000+ hours of online contents. More over you can play local content from your USB stick or network and also use the TV as a wireless display. There are tons of apps and games that you can download from the Mi app store. The Mi TV 4A 32 inch model has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n along with ethernet for internet access. However, the TV lacks bluetooth support and hence comes with an IR remote. Conclusion

The Mi TV 4A has about five variants in China based on the display size viz 32, 40, 43, 49, 55, and 65 inches.
