Head towards South India’s first ever WordPress Community meet up or the WordCamp in Kochi, Kerala. It’s all happening in a single track event on 19th February 2017 starting from 9 AM [link].

Those who are new to WordPress, its an open source blogging, content management system (CMS) or in general a web publishing platform that powers over 27 percent of all website you see online including datareign. Using the platform you can build simple, yet powerful websites, personal blogs or advanced web application. There is virtually no limitation with WordPress.

WordPress Community meetup at WordCamp Kochi 2017

Coming back to WordCamp, it’s an informal, international conference that revolves around the WordPress. Organised by WordPress enthusiasts across countries along with the support from the WordPress foundation. In India, WordCamp was earlier held in Pune, Udaipur and Mumbai. For the first time, a WordCamp is organised in a South Indian state. With South India, we refer to the five sister states Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

WordCamp Kochi 2017

The WordCamp Kochi 2017 is conducted by the WordPress Kochi Meetup Group, along with support from the global WordPress Community. The main talking points during the event will be around the topics like WordPress development, security, design, and more. You can hear and talk directly with the pros of WordPress. The list of speakers includes Nagesh Pai from Automattic (the company behind WordPress), Vivek Jain from rt camp, Daphnée Laforest from Human Made, Hardeep Asrani from ThemeIsle, Mahangu Weerasinghe, Amit Singh from WPoets Technology.

WordCamp Kochi is for everyone who uses WordPress, and for everyone who should use WordPress,” said Bigul Malayi, the Lead Organizer of WordCamp Kochi. “Through WordCamp Kochi, we aspire to spread awareness about WordPress, by bringing together authors, artists, bloggers, business owners, consultants, designers, developers, entrepreneurs, marketers, non-profits, photographers, software professionals, and web developers – who use WordPress in their daily life, under one roof,” he added.
