To take on the Xiaomi’s Mi TV series, home-grown television manufacturer Vu Televisions has launched a new series of Android 4K Smart TVs in India. The company has introduced three android-enabled 4K Smart TVs – 43-inch (43SU128), 49-inch (49SU131) and 55-inch (55SU138).

All three Vu Android TVs features 4K Ultra HD panels, two 10W speakers supporting Dolby Audio and runs on Android Nougat OS with built-in Chromecast feature. Price starts at Rs 36,999 for the 43-inch model, whereas the 49-inch model will retail at Rs 46,999. Finally, the biggest screen of all three, the 55-inch model is priced at Rs 55,999. All three models will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting 16th March 2018.

Vu Android TV Series

Talking about features, all three Vu Android TVs have similar hardware specifications, expect the screen size. They all boast A+ Grade IPS panels (DLED backlight) with 4K UHD display supporting resolution of 3480 x 2160 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz, 450-nit brightness and 8-bit colour depth. According to the company, the panels offer better dynamic contrast, wide viewing angle (178-degree), pixel mapping and increased brightness.

Vu 4K Android TVs with built-in Chromecast

These three Vu Android TVs run on Android Nougat OS and comes with built-in Chromecast support. As its official Android TV, you get access to Google Play store from where you could download any TV apps. Already a bunch of apps are pre-loaded with the TV. These include YouTube, Hotstar, Facebook Video, Sony Liv, ALT Balaji, Netflix. With Chromecast built-in, you could easily cast videos, music and more from any device to your TV.

You could purchase these Vu Android TVs with options of two controllers – a standard remote and an 11-button Vu ActiVoice remote like the one with Amazon Fire Stick. The Bluetooth supported Vu ActiVoice remote lets you search, browse and select content in 88 languages.

Under the hood, all three Vu Android TVs are powered by quad-core processor paired with 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. As for connectivity, you get inbuilt Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and Ethernet support. Apart from this, you also get three HDMI (ARC+CEC) ports, 2 USB ports (1x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0), one S/PDIF port, one AV input port, and one RF input port. All three Vu Android TVs features an integrated soundboard with 10+10 Watt Box speakers. They support Dolby audio and DTS TruSurround technology.
