Videocon Mobile Services gets rebranded to Videocon Telecom – New Logo and Brand Ambassador

The emerging young telecom operator in India, Videocon Mobile Services has rebranded itself to Videocon Telecom. It has also unveiled a new vibrant and dynamic logo along with bagging in popular Punjabi actor and Singer, Gippy Grewal as its Brand Ambassador.

Videocon Telecom is part of the $4 billion worth Videocon Group and provide mobile services in 6 out of 22 telecom circles of India. Videocon Telecom stands for the modern, dynamic, forward-looking and multi-faceted youth of today, qualities that Gippy Grewal represents. While the new logo effortlessly connects the brand with the consumers, the young and versatile Gippy Grewal infuses fresh energy and vigour to the brand itself. The new logo creates a strong association of the brand with the telecom sector, which is complemented with the Gippy’s persona that provides it the essential visibility and a strong connect creating an enviable association for both.  Gippy’s versatility, coupled with his simplistic approach and huge fan following shall go a long way in attracting the youth to the brand.

Videocon Telecom has also won the liberalised spectrums in the recent auction and is looking to offer 4G LTE services over the 1800 MHz band. It is all set to launch 4G LTE service by second half of 2013 in six telecom circles which includes Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana,Gujarat UP west, UP east, Bihar and Jharkhand.
