Videocon Telecommunications Limited, a group company, plans one of the fastest sequential roll-outs covering 100 key cities/towns over the next 100 days across the country. The company launched services in the Tamil Nadu circle today and will roll out in key cities across Punjab & Haryana including Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ambala and Panipat, Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat; Kerala including Cochin and Trivandrum, Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal and Indore and Mumbai over the next fortnight. Prominent cities like Lucknow, Meerut, Allahabad & Varanasi; Pune, Nagpur & Aurangabad and Hyderabad & Vishakhapatnam are also included in the aggressive 100 city 100 days roll-out of Videocon Mobile Services.

Videocon envisages investments of around Rs 14,000 crores in Videocon Mobile Services over the next 3 years.

Videocon Mobile Services envisages an investment of around Rs. 1500 crore in Tamil Nadu. The company will leverage a network of 3400 BTS to deliver superior services to subscribers across 550 towns in the state within the coming week. Underlining an aggressive roll out plan, Videocon Mobile Services targets to cover 100% of the urban population of Tamil Nadu within 2 months and 75% of the state’s rural population in the next 12 months. The brand will have a retail presence in over 19000 outlets from day 1 and plans to cover 50,000 outlets within 1 year, offering easy access to customers across the state.
