Twitter has expanded itself, making the content posted by users more interactive. You may be used to this, as when viewing certain links especially Youtube links on Twitter you will see the tweet expanding itself to the video player. To this group of expanded Tweets Twitter has added more content partners. From today users can discover more interactive experiences inside any Tweet on web mobile version of Twitter. When users expand Tweets containing links to selected partner websites, users can now see content previews, view images, play videos and more.
Twitter has partnered with major brands in web like The Wall Street Journal, Breaking News, TIME, The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle or Der Spiegel Online, WWE, Dailymotion, TMZ and Buzzfeed to deliver rich content inside Tweets containing a link to those websites. When users click on the Tweet link of major news providers it will show a preview of the news with the headline. Similarly users can see photos on Tweets from WWE, BuzzFeed and TMZ.
“This easy new way to discover content from the web begins rolling out to everyone on twitter.com and mobile.twitter.com starting today, and it’s coming soon to Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android” said Michael Sippey, Director, Product Team.
