Indian DTH provider Tata Sky has cut the price of its most sought after product in its line-up the Tata Sky Binge+ set-top box (STB). The new price for the premium STB is now Rs 3999. A major price cut of Rs 2000 from its original launch price of Rs 5999.

New customers opting for the Tata Sky Binge+ STB at Rs 3999 will also get six months of Tata Sky Binge subscription at no additional cost. The subscription includes access to premium content on OTT apps like Disney+ hotstar, SunNXT, Hungama Play, Shemaroo me and eros now. You would also get three months free access to Amazon Prime Video (Amazon Prime as a whole).

Do note that after the free period, you would be charged at Rs 249 per month for continuous access to this premium OTT apps. Also, you would need a separate subscription to Amazon Prime Video (cost Rs 129 per month) after the first three months.

Tata Sky Binge+ set-top box and premium services

Existing Tata Sky customers can also upgrade or add Tata Sky Binge+ STB for multi-TV connection at the same reduced price of Rs 3,999. You would also get six months access to above premium apps and three months Amazon Prime subscription. After six months, you would be charged Rs 249 per month for Tata Sky Binge service.

Those of you who may not know, Tata Sky Binge+ is an android TV powered hybrid set-top box, that allows you to watch both live TV and OTT content (when connected to the internet) on one device. The best part you won’t need to switch between multiple HDMI ports. As its an android TV device, you have access to all sorts of OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ hotstar, eros now and more from Google Play. It also got a catch-up TV option where you could watch the content from the past seven days. The set-top box comes with Chromecast built-in, so you could cast any content from mobile, laptop or PC directly to your TV.
