Tata Docomo starts USSD service for Facebook and Twitter

Tata Docomo , the GSM Brand of Tata Teleservices Limited and first private 3G Service provider in India starts USSD-Based Access services  to Facebook and Twitter for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers. Unstructured Supplementary Service Data ( USSD )  is a menu-based system that enables interfacing with content based services. It means instead of using a  mobile web-browser to open and browse a website, which need an internet / GPRS connection, the USSD service acts as a browser interface to pull content to your phone. So you don’t need any internet connection and it significantly reduce your cost of using this services.

TataDocomo users can now dial *325# and *515# from there mobile and they will  able to access Facebook and Twitter using the USSD service. Using this service you can read and post status updates, post comments, poke, like, tweet on Facbook and Twitter.  For using this USSD service users have to subscribe a package for Rs. 1/Day.
