Thought on having much better control on your cluttered email inbox, where you are wasting tons of times sorting mails from your friends, social notification, promotional/offer mails or any important company mails. Google is here to help you with it’s new redesigned Gmail Inbox, available on both Desktop and mobile.
With the new inbox, Google is helping you to effectively group and sort your mails. The new inbox automatically groups your mail into categories which appear as different tabs, like the Social tab, where all your mails from social networking sites are listed, similarly the Promotions tab where your mails with shopping offers are grouped. You now simply need to choose which categories you want and your inbox is organized in a way that lets you see what’s new at a glance and decide which emails you want to read when.
Users can also drag-and-drop to move mails between categories or tabs and thereafter mails from the particular sender will be automatically sent to the chosen category. Users can also set certain senders to always appear in a particular tab and star messages so that they also appear in the Primary tab.
Google has also updated the Gmail app for Android and iOS devices, bringing in the new mail inbox. On opening the app user will see the Primary mail and with the sliding side menu you can easily navigate to the other tabs you have set from your desktop.
The redesigned Gmail inbox on Desktop and mobile app is rolling out gradually in a phased manner during this week. If you are a lucky one, then keep an eye on the gear menu and select Configure inbox when it appears in the Settings options, to be first one’s to enjoy the new Gmail inbox.
