Feeling the heat of demonetization and still, waiting those long queues outside ATMs and bank branches. To help you out in getting the daily quota of Rs 2000, India’s leading marketplace Snapdeal has launched ‘Cash@Home’ service. A service where you can order cash from Snapdeal and get it delivered to your doorstep.

On the pilot phase, the Cash@Home service is currently available for users from Gurgaon and Bangalore. Snapdeal plans to expand this service to other major Indian cities in the coming days.

Snapdeal will now Deliver Cash at your Doorstep with its Cash@Home service

How Snapdeal Cash@Home woks? The whole process is essentially just like ordering a product from its marketplace. You can order cash up to Rs 2000 per booking or per day. At the time of cash delivery, you need to swipe your ATM card on the PoS machine that Snapdeal’s courier partner brings along. It’s just like paying your order via cash on delivery (CoD), but here the actual product is cash. On successful transaction, the courier person will give you Rs 2000 in cash. So, that’s no more long queues, get the cash sitting at your home.

Thinking how much will Snapdeal charge for this Cash@Home service? Well, there is a nominal charge for the service. Snapdeal will be charging Rs 1 as a convenience fee, which you can pay through net banking, debit or credit card or FreeCharge Wallet at the time of booking the order.

As the country transitions to a more digitally enabled economy, we’ve launched a series of timely initiatives – from wallet and card on delivery, to extending FreeCharge partnerships to smoothen this transition,” said Rohit Bansal, Co-founder, Snapdeal. “The launch of the cash on demand service is intended to further help our consumers tide over any cash crunch that they might face in addressing their daily needs” he added.
