Samsung has finally officially launched their next flagship mobile handset, the Galaxy S III, ending the long running rumors. Samsung Galaxy S III features a gorgeous 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display powered by 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor and 1GB of RAM. It got a 8-Megapixel camera with zero shutter lag and runs on latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The battery is now more powerful with 2,100 mAh battery and have an internal storage of 16GB, 32GB and  64GB, also supporting MicroSD card slot.

The Galaxy S III is available in two colors – Blue and White and the design has been inspired by some elements in nature like earth, water and wind. Its got a glossy plastic coats both the front face and flat battery cover, with a particularly attractive finish on the Pebble Blue. Measuring just 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 133g, Galaxy S III is one of lightest mobiles around.

The device also features a new version of TouchWiz which Samsung calls the Nature UX. It also bundles a voice recognition software like Siri  called S-Voice, helping you to do different tasks on your S III. Samsung has struck a deal with Dropbox to offer 50 GB of cloud storage for two years. This seems to be similar to HTC ONE deal of 25GB with Dropbox. The device will also come bundled with an Android version of the popular iOS news aggregation app Flipboard.

The Galaxy S III will be started shipping this May 29 to 145 countries, first 3G version will be made available to Europe, Asia and  Africa while the 4G version will only available on Japan and South Korea.

Update (31st May 2012) – Samsung has finally unveiled the flagship model Galaxy SIII in India with a price tag of Rs 43,180. The price seems to be on the higher side and we can accept to get lowered in the coming weeks. Indian online shopping sites Flipkart and Homeshop 18 is listing Samsung Galaxy SIII at Rs 38,900, that’s around Rs 5K less.
