TV when it’s on, Art when it’s off! Samsung has finally debuted it’s next-generation The Frame TV range in India. The consumer electronics giant has launched The Frame 2020 (in three district sizes) and ten new Smart TV models in India. This extensive TV range includes online Smart TVs, 4K UHD, FHD and HD Ready TV options with price starting as low as Rs 14,490.
The best part here is that these TVs comes with the unique Personal Computer mode. As most of the IT workforce is working from home, they could instantly transform these TVs to a full-fledged PC. You could work directly from the cloud, remotely access your office computer or mirror your laptop wirelessly even without internet. Samsung is also packing free subscription to Office 365 and these TVs comes with multi-layered Knox security.
The Frame 2020 would be a Flipkart exclusive release, whereas the rest of ten Smart TV models announced would be available for purchase from Flipkart, Amazon India and Samsung Shop. The sale for these TVs will happen from 19th June 2020, midnight.
As for offers, Flipkart users would get instant cashback of Rs 1,500 when using your credit cards and debit cards for purchase. Whereas, Amazon would offer an instant discount of Rs 1,000 for SBI credit card payments. There are also attractive no-cost EMI options available in both online stores.
Samsung The Frame 2020
Samsung The Frame 2020 has one of the innovative designs as it looks entirely different from your regular smart TVs. The Frame hangs like a real picture frame with no gap wall-mount and one invisible connection. When TV is switched off, you could turn it into a picture frame that displays artwork and photos. The Art Store app which comes with the TV offers over 1200 artworks from around the world.
The Frame also comes with motion and brightness sensors. The brightness sensor can automatically balance the screen’s brightness and colour tone by detecting the ambient light. Whereas the motion sensor can detect your presence and turns the TV display into artwork while you’re there and turns off when you leave to save energy.
The Frame 2020 lineup includes three distinct sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. All these sizes come with Samsung’s QLED display technology that delivers 100 per cent colour volume. It comes with Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology and supports HDR 10+.
Under the hood, The Frame 2020 is powered by Samsung’s intelligent Quantum Processor 4K that could instantly upscale content for sharper details and more natural colours. With built-in sensors, the TV could read your room and automatically adjust the screen’s lighting and contrast based on surrounding light.
The Frame 2020 comes with Active Voice Amplifier which could sense surrounding sound in real-time and then boost the TV volume and clarity. With Adaptive Sound, the TV could analyze each scene in real-time to identify and render the sound type.
The Frame works with Google Assistant, Alexa and Bixby voice assistants. You could also connect the TV with a wide range of smart devices and control it’s via the SmartThings app and One Remote Control. It also supports AirPlay 2 which allows you to instantly share videos or content from your Apple devices to the TV.
As for pricing, Samsung The Frame 2020 line up pricing starts at Rs 74,990 for the bases 50-inch model. Next is the 55-inch model which is priced at Rs 84,990. While its 65-inch model will retail for Rs 1,39,330. All three models come with ten years no screen burn-in warranty alone with a one-year comprehensive warranty and one-year additional warranty for the panel. As said earlier, all three models will be available exclusively through Flipkart.
10 new Samsung Smart TVs
Along with The Frame 2020 lineup, Samsung has also launched ten new Smart TVs catering all price range in the Indian market. These include four 4K UHD (43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch) with price starting at Rs 36,990. Whereas, FHD and HD Ready Smart TV range would come with two sizes ( 43-inch and 32-inch) with price starting at Rs 14,490. All these Smart TVs comes with a one-year comprehensive warranty and one-year additional warranty on the panel.
The 4K UHD TVs in this range feature segment-first thee-side Boundless Design and a 4K Processor. All of them comes with USB 3.0 and support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants.
This new range of Samsung Smart TVs comes with curated content with native support for OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, ZEE5 and SonyLIV. Along with its these Smattered TVs support Personal Computer Mode, that we highlighted earlier along with Game Enhancer, Home Cloud and Music Player.
