Another milestone achieved by the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer Samsung. Worldwide sales of Samsung Galaxy S Series Smartphone that includes popular Galaxy SIII, SII & S crossed 100 million units. The sparkling achievement comes within 2 years and 7 months after the first Galaxy S series smartphone was launched in May 2011.

Samsung with the help of Google’s Android mobile OS has literally dominated the entire smartphone space. Samsung’s current flagship smartphones Galaxy S III is selling at an average 190,000 units daily. Its sales continue to grow at much faster rate of 30 million in 5 months and 40 million in 7 months, after becoming a million seller in only 50 days after its release last May.

Samsung Galaxy S Series Smartphone Sales crosses100 million units

The winning streak started with the sales of popular Galaxy S II which is gaining ground as a steady seller hitting the sales of over 40 million in only 20 months. In the Android ecosystem Samsung have around 60% of the market share. With in months Samsung is expected to launch the next flagship Android smartphone Galaxy S IV which may feature flexible display, Exynos 5 Octa processor and 1080 p full HD display.
