This is how much the Samsung Galaxy Note9 will cost in India

Within a few weeks of global launch, Samsung is bringing in its flagship productive smartphone to India, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The super premium smartphone is backed by top-notch hardware, intelligent camera, new feature-rich S Pen and a bigger battery that could churn out enough power for the big beast.

Samsung has already unveiled the Indian pricing of the Galaxy Note9, which starts at Rs 67,900 for the base variant featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is also a top-end variant of the phone featuring 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage priced at Rs 84,900. Thus, making it the most expensive Samsung smartphone launching in India till date. For colour choices, you could choose from Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Metallic Copper.

As for availability, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 will be available on all leading online and offline stores across India, starting 24th August 2018. Thus you could order the phablet from Amazon India, Flipkart or directly from Samsung’s official online store. To reduce the price burden, you would get cash back (in the form of Paytm Cashback and HDFC Bank offers) from most of this stores. There would also be No Cost EMI option on leading Credit cards and Bajaj Finserv.

Samsung Galaxy Note9 Specification Features

You would probably know most of the specifications and features of Samsung Galaxy Note9. This includes bezel-less design, full-frontal and the edge-to-edge screen. The mobile flaunts a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED (2960 by 1440) display without a notch on the screen. It also got the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Under the hood, unlike the international version which packs Snapdragon 845 SoC, the Indian version of Samsung Galaxy Note9 is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos chip. Our guess would be the octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810 chipset, which also powers the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.

Other hardware specification of Samsung Galaxy Note9 remains the same. This includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage option or 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage option. Thanks to the hybrid sim slot, you could either have dual SIM or choose to have a one Nano SIM and one MicroSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with Samsung’s custom UI over-the-top. The company guarantees a quick upgrade to the latest Android 9 Pie.

Extra features

Samsung Galaxy Note9 is accompanied by its S Pen. This time around the company has added a truckload of features in it. The new S Pen is now powered by Bluetooth technology. Thus you could do various tasks with S Pen other than just drawing.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 get the Dual Aperture lens from Galaxy S9+. The company is branding its camera as “Intelligent Camera”, as it can recognize what you’re looking at. Thus it can automatically optimize colour settings like contrast, white balance, exposure, and more.

As for connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 support 4G LTE with VoLTE along with 3G and 2G network support. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, ANT+, NFC and USB Type-C. It comes with stereo speakers that are tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos technology. You also get a premium Pure sound earphone by AKG with both these devices. Finally, fuelling the big phone is a 4000mAH lithium-ion battery with quick charging support.

Indian touch to Samsung Galaxy Note9

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 would be a Make in India phone, with manufacturing happening in its Noida factory. One major India specific feature in Galaxy Note9 is the support for Samsung Pay. It supports credit card, debit card, Paytm digital wallet and even UPI payments.

Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant has also been optimized for Indian scenario. It can support live translation to and from different Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, and Punjabi among others.
