With the ease of portability, quick capturing, editing and sharing, today smartphones have become our digital cameras. Combining the Galaxy experience with advanced digital camera technology, Samsung has announced the successor of Galaxy S4 zoom–  the all new Galaxy K zoom.

Samsung Galaxy K zoom features a 20.7 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor for ultra-clear, ultra-detailed images along with new retracting lens technology that provides 10x optical zoom. It carries a 24-240mm lens with an aperture value of f/3.1 to f/6.3 along with Xenon Flash. It also offers Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) to reduce blur caused by movement.

Samsung unveils Galaxy K zoom with 20.7MP sensor, Hexa-core & KitKat

With Galaxy K zoom, Samsung offers an advanced technical camera system designed to provide the control and functionality of a professional camera. It comes with special camera centric interface with SMART Mode, Expert Mode(P/M) and My Mode. It also include Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation for precise balance of light and clarity, Pro Suggest mode with 5 optimized filters, Object Tracking, Studio Smile/Blink Detection and Selfie Alarm that allows users to take timed selfies with ease.

On the mobile side Galaxy K zoom spots a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It’s powered by a Hexa core processor that combines 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor and a 1.7GHz Dual-Core Processor coupled with a 2GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB using microSD cards. On the front it got a 2 Mega pixel camera for selfie or video chatting. The smartphone camera runs on latest Android KitKat 4.4 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.

On the connectivity side Galaxy K zoom got 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. It also carries various sensors including Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Light Sensor.

Samsung has not revealed the pricing for Galaxy K zoom, but we can expect it to be around Rs 40,000 when it launches in India.
