Salman Khan beats out Shahrukh Khan to rule the internet by becoming the most searched person on Bing during the year 2013. Based on the aggregation of millions of search queries, Bing has published 2013’s top search trends for India. The search trends are being categorized to most searched persons, songs, movies, sports persons, travel destinations, music artists and finally most searched social websites in India during 2013.

Bing’s top search trends reveals that Salman Khan topped the search results in India during 2013 with his big super hit movies. Following him is non other than Shahrukh Khan riding the Chennai Express. Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif ranked third in the most searched person on Bing. The buzz created by Cricket GOD Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement brought him up the chart to fourth position on Bing’s most searched person. Other than him all others in the top ten most searched persons on Bing are Bollywood stars.

Going to the most searched Movies category, Race 2 emerged as the most searched movie on Bing, followed by Chennai Express and Aashiqui 2. Taking into account the songs from this movies, the Bing’s most search song is Lungi dance from Chennai Express followed by Party on my mind – Race 2 and Challa – Jab Tak Hai Jaan. With her sweet sound, Shreya Ghoshal is the most sought after music artist on Bing this year followed by the nightingale of Bollywood Lata Mangeshkar who celebrated her 84th birthday earlier this year and Sonu Nigam in the third position.

With no surprise and doubts Sachin Tendulkar lead the chart of most searched sports person on Bing, followed by another cricketer Virat Kohli. With the super inspirational movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag – the Flying Sikh Milkha Singh raised to third position of Bing’s most searched sports person.

India’s IT hub Bangalore ranked first among most searched travel destination in India followed by commercial capital of India – Mumbai and tourist destination Goa.

With no doubts the social media giant Facebook with around 90 million Indian user base topped the chart on most searched Social Websites in Bing during 2013 followed by Twitter and interestingly VOIP service Skype. Myspace still lives among Indians as it been ranked at fourth position followed by messaging service WhatsApp.
