RIM BlackBerry announced to offer its Enterprise network services “BlackBerry Mobile Fusion” which are more common among cooperate and government BlackBerry users, to mobile devices running on iOS, Android and Windows. RIM plans to launch the Mobile Fusion in the first quarter of 2012, a Enterprise Mobility Solution that enables IT managers to set, access and control apps, software for other mobile OS devices.
It is also a changing initiative by RIM to offer its network services independently of BlackBerry devices, which have been losing ground to sleeker rivals Android, iOS and Windows, as RIM shares are still down more than 70 percent this year. BlackBerry Mobile Fusion will allow IT managers to access and control company assets on BlackBerry, Android and iOS devices, essentially making the existing Enterprise Server cross-platform. RIM is taking advantage of one of its core assets: the strength of its BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Its one of the most secure and efficient way to send and receive emails and other service. RIM said Mobile Fusion will be able to use the capabilities on BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.3. It also said there are additional features for BlackBerry smartphones and PlayBook tablets.

It provides the necessary management capabilities to allow IT departments to confidently oversee the use of both company-owned and employee-owned mobile devices within their organizations.”

BlackBerry Mobile Fusion is currently in early beta testing with select enterprise customers. RIM is now accepting customer nominations for the closed beta program which will start in January, and general availability is expected in late March.
