Reliance Communication, India’s third largest telecom operators got hit this new year with a high-profile website hack. RCom’s wireless internet service “Reliance Netconnect” official website got hacked by Brazilian hack team. The hackers have completely defaced the website and replaced with a message that’s read
"Hackeado por HighTech Brazil HackTeam
No\One - CrazyDuck - Otrasher - L34NDR0"
The HighTech Brazil hack team earlier have hacked Interpol Indonesia National Central Bureau (interpol.go.id) website, South Africa’s TopTV website and several Singapore based websites. Its seems the hacker group targeting an Indian website for the first time.
This is not the first time Reliance communication being targeted by hacker groups, earlier in 2012 Anonymous India hacker group, hacked and released list of sites blocked by Reliance ISP which also includes Facebook and Orkut. The hacker claim that Reliance was blocking various Indian sites and social networking pages without any prior court orders and thus breaking the law. Anonymous India says Reliance has been cooperating and made tie with India government to help them defend the Air India employees strike.
At the time of writing it seems the website is still displaying the hacked message and it seems Reliance yet to respond to this situation.
