Now you got lots of choices, under every price bracket for your first 4G smartphone. The Reliance Retail’s subsidiary consumer electronics arm LYF has launched two new mid-range android smartphones under its Water series – Water 6 and Water 4.
Both smartphones pack HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM and true 4G LTE with VoLTE support for HD voice calling.
First going by the price, the LYF Water 4 smartphone is the price at Rs 7,599 and the LYF Water 6 smartphone at Rs 8,999. Both smartphones are available on Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress Mini, and other third-party retail stores across India.
The LYF Water 6 smartphone got a unibody design with gold metallic edges and textured back for easy grip. The smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display that’s well protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass.
Under the hood LYF Water 6 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The mobile carries 32GB internal storage, which can’t be expanded further.
For photography, the Water 6 comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the back that can shoot full HD videos at 30FPS. On the front, the mobile got a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
On the connectivity side, the dual SIM LYF Water 6 supports 4G LTE with support for all Indian 4G bands along with VoLTE (Video & HD Voice Call), 3G and 2G network support. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The mobile runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS which seems to be too outdated for a mid-range new android smartphone.
Coming to LYF Water 4 smartphone, the only difference in hardware specification is the internal storage is limited to 16GB with no further option to expand using microSD card.
On the way if you are buying a LYF android smartphone, then you can try out the Reliance Jio 4G. Which also comes with three months Jio 4G preview offer that offers three months of unlimited 4G LTE data usage, voice calls (VoLTE) and message (SMS).
