If you are one of those Apple iPhone users who use the Jio4GVoice iOS mobile app to make VoLTE voice calls on your Reliance Jio connection, then there is a new update being pushed for the app on the iTunes store. The telecom operator has now added VoLTE video calling support to the mobile app. In addition, there is the new persistent incoming call notifications and regular bug fixes with the update.

Jio4GVoice iOS mobile app with the update to version 1.6 will allow iPhone users to make VoLTE video calls via the app. However, video calling facility is available only for VoLTE supported Apple iPhones.

Jio4GVoice app launched for Apple iPhones - now make HD voice and Video calls

For newbies, Jio4GVoice app for Apple iOS devices allow users using an older Apple iPhones that only supports 4G data or doesn’t have VoLTE, can download the app to make it VoLTE ready. In addition to making voice calls, the Jio4GVoice app is also a full-fledged messaging app. You can use it to send and receive SMS, chats, videos, images and even allow location-sharing. You can also share files in any format over the chat and group chat. Other features include audio conferencing with up to six participants and video conferencing with up to four participants.

Currently, the supported list of Apple iPhones includes iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone SEiPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and certain Apple iPad and iPod touch models. Also, the app requires iOS 9.1 or later to run.

How to use Jio4GVoice app for Apple iPhone & iPad

  • Getting started with Jio4GVoice app is simple, you can download the app directly from Apple iTunes.
  • You need an iPhone with 4G support and Reliance Jio SIM activated.
  • Once downloaded you just need to sign with your Jio account or sign in directly with the Jio SIM.
  • Once configured, the phone number of your Jio SIM will become the phone number of the app.
  • You can start making HD voice and video calls directly from the Jio4GVoice app dialer.

Before the update, when you make a video call through the Jio4GVoice app, your friend on the other end taking the video call should also have the Jio4GVoice mobile app (iOS or Android) installed on their device with a Jio connection. With the new update, this big negativity of the app has been solved. Still, Jio has not added support to the Jio4GVoice iOS app linked with JioFi device.
