Bit by bit, Reliance is moving towards the goal of launching its full-fledged 4G LTE service in India. Taking one step closer, the company has now officially taken the Reliance Jio website [jio.com] live.

The best part of the website launch is that Jio has extended its 4G network trial to public and now anyone interested in getting a Reliance Jio 4G connection can register themselves by filling up the form. Once registered, the company representative will call you in a few days with details on how to get a new Reliance 4G connection.

According to zauba, an import tracking website there has been around 20 lacs SIMs imported to India by Reliance. So probably Reliance Jio is planning for a country wide 4G network testing with the help of early adopted.

Coming back to the Jio official website, as revealed in a previous leak the site mainly highlights the digital stories with its Connect, Explore, Enjoy, and Enrich concept. Most of the Jio services are based on this digital stories. The website offers a complete overview of eleven Jio Apps including MyJio, JioChat, JioPlay, JioOnDemand, JioBeats, JioMags, JioDrive, JioMoney, JioJoin, JioSecurity and JioXpressNews.

The MyJio app helps you to manage your Jio account and all services associated with it, get help and support from the JioCare experts and help in locating stores, Jio Hotspot, tracking your mobile usage details and more.

Launched way back a year ago JioChat is a complete messaging app that offers instant messaging, group chats, stickers, free SMS, voice & video calling, conference calling and even brands & Celebrities Channels to engage.

Other Jio apps include, JioPlay that offers around 300+ live TV channels for streaming, JioOnDemand offering movies, TV shows, music videos and trailers across languages and genres, JioBeats – a music streaming service with songs from over 20 languages, JioMags – a magazine app with most of the popular and premium Indian and international magazines.

JioNewsXpress app brings curated news from thousands of new sources including major newspaper, magazines, blogs, and websites. Next is the JioDrive which is sort of cloud storage service to store all your documents, photos and videos. JioJoin helps you to make HD voice and video calls on your non-VoLTE smartphone with the Jio SIM. JioSecurity is mainly an antivirus app for android devices.

Finally, JioMoney offers a digital mobile wallet service just like Paytm, FreeCharge, and MobiKwik Wallet. One can load money to the wallet and use that money across physical stores and online channels for recharging, shopping, transferring money etc.

Earlier Reliance Jio expanded its 4G LTE network trail to more people via an invite system or called ‘Jio Preview Offer‘. Reliance employees who have already part of Reliance Jio can invite ten or more of their friends or family to the network.

So when we can expect a full-fledged launch of Reliance Jio 4G? still the company is silent on the official launch date, but we expect it to be around November – December 2016.
