Adding more value to your recharge, Indian telecom operator Reliance Jio has launched a slew of prepaid plans and data add-on packs bundled with Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. The telco has announced two new prepaid plans – Rs 2599 and Rs 401, and four data addon packs – Rs 1208, Rs 1206, Rs 1004 and Rs 612 which packs the bundled free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription.
Those who may not be aware, Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription cost Rs 399 year originally. This plan includes access to movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe (like The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor etc), The Lion King, Frozen II, Aladdin, Toy Story 4 and more. Also, you get to stream all the free contents (mostly Star channels) and live sports action (including Cricket, Football and kabaddi) with fewer ads in-between.
One small (and for some BIG) twist in this plan is that you could only stream most of the movies in dubbed Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. That’s, no English audio for the English/Hollywood movies. For that, you need to spend more and get the Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription available at Rs 1499 per year.
Reliance Jio Hotstar Packs
Back to our main story, Reliance Jio is bundling the one year free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription with all its newly announced prepaid plans and data add-on packs.
First, the annual Jio prepaid plan of Rs 2,599 which got a validity of 365 days. This plan comes with unlimited Jio to Jio voice calls, 12000 minutes of non-Jio voice calls, 2GB per day (total 740GB) of 4G data benefits (additional one-time 10GB data) and 100 SMS per day. In addition to the regular Jio Apps complimentary subscription, you would also get one year Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription at no extra cost.
For those looking for a monthly Jio Plan with Disney+ Hotstar bundle, there is the new Rs 401 monthly prepaid plan. It packs unlimited Jio to Jio calls, 1000 minutes of non-Jio calls, 3GB per day of 4G data benefits (total 90 GB data), additional 6GB data and 100 SMS per day. In addition to the Jio Apps complimentary subscription, you would also get one year free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. It comes with a validity of 28 days.

Jio add-on Data Packs with Disney+ Hotstar
Those who want more data can opt-in for a combo-pack of data add-on vouchers which also bundles the free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription.
Starting at Rs 612, the data add-on pack comes with 72GB of data and 6000 minutes of non-Jio calls. It also packs one-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar VIP at no extra cost. This pack is basically a bundle of twelve Rs 51 data add-on vouchers. So you could use each of these data add-on vouchers every month for 12 months.
Next is the Rs 1004 data add-on pack which bundles 200GB data for 120 days and comes with free one year Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. Similarly, the Rs 1206 Jio data add-on pack with comes with 240GB data for 180 days and bundles the 1-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
Finally, the Rs 1208 data add-on pack which is basically a bundle of eight Rs 151 Work From Home data add-on pack. It comes with 240 GB of data benefits and valid for 240 days. In addition, you would also get a 1-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

How to avail Jio’s Free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription
Once you have recharged with any one of the prepaid plan or data add-on pack, you need to first download the Disney+ Hotstar app (available on both Android and iOS devices). Then create a new account or sign in to Disney+ Hotstar using the same mobile number on which you have done the recharge.
Once logged in you’re free Disney+ Hotstar account will be upgraded to Disney+ Hotstar VIP with a validity of 365 days or one year. Note that to continue getting Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription for 1 year, you need to continuously be on an active Jio plan.
