With Indian Premier League 2018 around the corner, Indian telecom operator Reliance Jio is planning big for cricket fans this cricket season. The telco has come up with a special Jio Cricket Season Pack which offers massive data benefits, Jio Cricket Play Along – a live mobile game, where you could win prizes worth crores and Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE – cricket comedy web-series.
Jio Cricket Season Pack
To make sure you won’t run out of data while watching live IPL cricket matches, Reliance Jio has introduced a Cricket Season Pack. The Rs 251 priced recharge pack will offer 102 GB of 4G data benefits with a validity of 51 days. Thus, the new recharge pack will cover almost every LIVE IPL 2018 match throughout the duration of 51 days.
On the way, you could watch all the IPL 2018 matches live without any delays through JioTV app. Jio is the sponsor for all the eight teams participating in IPL 2018. Thus Jio will also bring exclusive behind the scenes footage from these teams. The telco has yet to reveal the fine print of the Jio Cricket Season Pack. This includes the daily data cap and benefits other than extra data addition.
Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE
Reliance Jio has come up with an original web-series or as per the company India’s first cricket comedy show. Hosted by comedian, Sunil Grover and sports anchor, Samir Kochhar, every episode will feature cricketers and celebrity guests in fun conversations, gags and more. Cricket legends Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag, along with popular comedians and anchors will appear in the show.
The show will premiere exclusively on MyJio app starting 7th April 2018 at sharp 7.30 PM. New/live episodes will be released every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Both Jio and non-Jio subscribers can watch the show by downloading the latest/updated MyJio app.
Jio Cricket Play Along
Reliance Jio has also launched world’s largest live mobile game called ‘Jio Cricket Play Along’. It’s based on the concept of “Hanso Khelo Jeeto” combining the best of Jio’s technology and entertainment.
Spanning 7 weeks and 60 matches covering the entire IPL 2018 season, Jio plans to redefine the second-screen experience through its real-time interaction during the match time. The gameplay would be way similar to the recently concluded Jio KBC Play Along. During the IPL matches, Jio will ask questions related to the match and you would need to answer them correctly to win prizes.
Both Jio and non-Jio subscribers can participate freely in the game. You could plan along with every match and win prizes worth crores. When saying prizes, you could actually win prizes such as a premium house in Mumbai, 25 cars, cash prizes worth crores and much more.
It’s interesting to see how Reliance Jio is trying to attract non-Jio users or users from other telecom operators. If you’re not a Jio subscriber, still you could watch the comedy show and also participate in the Jio Cricket Play Along contest via MyJio app. Also, once you feel confident about Reliance Jio, you could easily switch from your current connection to Jio via MNP or order a new Jio connection right from the app.
