To make a mark over the online-centric Indian customers, Chinese mobile vendor Oppo through its sub-brand Realme has officially launched its first android smartphone in India – the Realme 1. Packing a unique design, along with lump sum of AI features and powerful hardware, the phone is been placed itself in the budget price segment.

There are two variants of Realme 1 smartphone up for sale. The 32GB storage and 3GB RAM variant of the phone get priced at Rs 8,990. Whereas the much more powerful variant packing 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage will retail at Rs 13,990. Both this mobile variants will be available exclusively via Amazon India and first sale for the phone will starts at 12:00 PM on May 25th, 2018. Oppo Realme 1 specification and features

One of the first thing you notice about Realme 1 is its unique back cover design that has a glossy effect which can reflect light. There is 15 tangent plane which reflects light in the same way a diamond does. The mobile flaunts a 6-inch full HD+ Full-Screen display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset coupled with a dual-core AI processor. The AI processor can smartly detect and allocates tasks, increase power efficiency while playing games and improve battery performance.

Oppo Realme 1 launched in India

The Realme 1 will be available in two memory options, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the second one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 128GB. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.0 that packs an exclusive and unique Indian Theme.

Coming to photography, the Realme 1 boasts a single 13-megapixel back camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash support. For selfie addicts, the mobile carries an 8-megapixel front camera with AI Shot mode and bokeh mode. The camera app is powered by 80 lakh AI beauty solutions and can detect 296 facial points. It also supports AI Stickers and AI scene Recognition.

Realme 1 packs dual 4G LTE with full VoLTE support along with 3G and 2G network support. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. One bumper feature that’s missing on the phone is the fingerprint scanner. However, the company has included Face Unlock feature powered by its AI CPU. Finally, fueling the device is a 3410mAh battery.
