OnePlus One India General Manager Vikas Agarwal has made an announcement yesterday as a reply for the queries about warranty by Indian users who had already purchased the One. In his announcement he has stated – “An Indian user who has bought the global version of the One from oneplus.net can now avail after-sales service locally. The standard warranty terms for India apply on all such requests.” You can read the complete announcement quoted below.
This is really good news, and makes them trustworthy among existing OnePlus India owners. However there is still no update regarding the launch date in India, except that he has stated at the end – “We’ll be back with more good news soon.”
We expect the Flagship Killer to launch in India no later that December 31, 2014.

OnePlus One is so far one of the manufacturers providing warranty for rooted devices. According to their policy, “The technical process of rooting or unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty of the OnePlus One”, but they will verify whether the damage was caused by rooting (i.e, burning up your CPU by overclocking, hardbricking the device).
