If you are looking to get hands on the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus, then today it that day. The Chinese mobile vendor has officially launched the OnePlus 5 in India. You may already know most of the specifications, which include dual camera setup, the Snapdragon 835 chipset, dash charger, up to 8 GB of RAM, and polished Oxygen OS.

To the pricing, the OnePlus 5 will come in two RAM and storage variants. The OP5 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will sell for Rs 32,999. Whereas the much powerful, OP5 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage gets a price tag of Rs 37,999. Both these smartphones will be available exclusively through Amazon India and OnePlus Store India. The first sale on Amazon India going to happen today (22nd June 2017) at 4.30 PM.

OnePlus 5 Spec and Features

Those who have missed the launch of OnePlus 5 two days before, the mobile got a premium all-metal unibody design featuring ‘Horizon Line’. It flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080P Full HD Optic AMOLED display and supports sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamut. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile chipset coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. To store all your media content the mobile comes with either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 dual lane internal storage. Unfortunately, you still don’t get the expandable storage option.

OnePlus 5 adopts a dual camera setup at the rear. You get a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera combined with a 20-megapixel telephoto camera. Using those cameras you can create a depth-of-field effect or bokeh effect on pictures you take. Adding more value to the hardware is the intelligent software part. That brings faster focus various modes like Portrait Mode, Smart Capture and Pro Mode. On the front, for selfie addicts, there is a 16-megapixel camera powered by a Sony IMX 371 sensor, the same camera module from OnePlus 3T.

As for connectivity, OnePlus 5 has dual nano-SIM slot supporting 4G LTE networks that can work with every 4G band operational in India. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G/5G, and NFC. The mobile comes with USB Type-C port and still keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack. You also get a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front home button. The powerful hardware comes into life with OxygenOS built over the Android Nougat. The phone carries a 3300 mAh battery supported by Dash Charger. You can get a day’s worth power in half an hour of charging the phone.
