NetQin Mobile Inc a leading provider of mobile internet services focusing on security, today announced that its award-winning Anti-virus software NetQin Mobile Anti-virus V4.0 Beta is now available for BlackBerry smartphone.

Supported by a Cloud-security model, NetQin’s Mobile Anti-virus V4.0 Beta offers anti-virus security to BlackBerry smartphone users.

NetQin Mobile Anti-virus V4.0 includes the following features:

  • Full protection against threats: The Anti-virus feature incorporates a cloud-based security scan that effectively identifies and eliminates viruses.
  • Cross-platform backup feature: Users can backup their contacts to the NetQin server or an SD Card. NetQin saves the contacts, allowing users to backup and restore contacts seamlessly between mobile devices running Android, BlackBerry OS and Symbian.
  • Mobile Anti-lost: With NetQin’s Mobile Anti-lost feature, users can access their phone remotely in the event that their phone is lost or stolen and pinpoint the missing device’s location, as well as send commands to erase data, lock the phone or sound an alarm.

NetQin recently reported that mobile viruses are on the rise, up an estimated 195 percent from 2009 to 2010. “The threat to mobile security has never been more evident,” says Dr. Henry Yu Lin, CEO of NetQin. “NetQin’s Mobile Anti-virus V4.0 not only gives BlackBerry smartphone users peace-of-mind but also provides additional assurance to corporate users that sensitive information will be further protected from cyber-criminals.”

NetQin’s software is being used by approximately 72 million users in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide across multiple mobile operating systems.

NetQin will demonstrate NetQin Mobile Anti-virus V4.0 Beta and its other products at Booth # 3289 during the upcoming International CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando, FL. from March 22nd to 24th.
