Moto G rush hour – Flipkart Exclusive launch and Snadeal Pre-Booking

With Google selling out the Mototola Mobile unit to Chinese vendor Lenovo, the wow factor for its smartphones Moto X and Moto G was lost. But still Motorola is pushing hard for a spectacular come back in India. After a month of delay, Motorola finally announced its plans to launch the Moto G in India on February 5th, 2014, exclusively on India’s top online retailer Flipkart.

Flipkart Exclusivity and Incredible Offers on Moto G

Confirming the reports Flipkart has listed the Moto G smartphone on its website along with some exclusive offers. If you are looking to get hold of the smartphone on the day of launch (preferably on February 5th) Flipkart will be offering you a chance to win 100% cash back as store credits. In addition you will also get flat 70% off on the colourful Moto G covers, Rs 1000 off on clothing and finally Rs 500 off on eBooks purchased from Flipkart.

Snapdeal Moto G Pre-Booking

On the other hand another Indian online retailer Snapdeal has come up with Moto G pre-booking [Moto G 8G varient]. Snapdeal listing confirms the Moto G smartphone availability on the third week of February and carries some free gifts. Snapdeal will be offering buyers free Airtel 1GB 3G data usage credit which will be sent via Email within 7 days of product delivery, free 1 year accidental warranty, free 1 year extended support warranty and finally a free back panel case.

According to reports Snapdeal has already got 1000 pre-booking within two hours of listing the smartphone. Currently all variants of the smartphone seems to be out of stock.

On the specification front Moto G features a 4.5 inch 720p HD edge-to-edge display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 350 GPU with 1GB RAM, Android 4.3 Jellybean OS with guaranteed Android 4.4 KitKat update, waterproof nano coating, 5 megapixel shooter with LED flash, 8Gb and 16GB internal storage option and lots of customization options. You can read more about Moto G at our previous article on it.

Motorola India Service Center

If you are worried about the lack of service centers for Motorola after they winded up their operations in India, then this list would make you happy. According to an internal document from Motorola customer help portal, they have already partnered with around 80 service centers across India. They have set up service centers in 21 states and in all major Indian cities.

Motorola is expected to launch an dual-SIM variant of the Moto G smartphone in India and to be priced at around Rs 12,000 for the 8GB model.
