Now don’t need to waste time filling up those small columns and submitting identity proofs while taking a new mobile connection, as Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and telecom operators are planning to use Aadhar authentication process instead. Reliance Communications to become the first telecom operator in the country to offer Aadhar authentication process for new mobile connections in both companies owned and non-company owned multi-brand small retail outlets. They intend to launch the services across all telecom circles post the necessary guidelines issued by DOT.
How this Work?
With Aadhar authentication process getting implemented customers can walk into any retailer in the country with their respective Aadhar card, a post which the retailer can share the customer’s Aadhar profile details along with the biometric authentication details online with UIDAI server for real-time authentication of the identity of the customer. Post this authentication, the customer details can be fetched online from UIDAI server and the customer mobile connection can now be processed with telecom operators for immediate activation.

Thus now new Reliance Customers will not be required to fill up the paper works and submit a photocopy of Aadhaar documents, as customers details will be verified through a biometric device connected with UIDAI server in real-time. Aadhar online authentication process is a paperless and regulatory process to activate new mobile connection instantly.
